Expanding Sales and Production Sites Overseas Undergo Major Transformations
In keeping up with the automobile industry's global development, and as one of the DENSO Group's main manufacturers, Denso Electronics has established an overseas subsidiary and is actively developing overseas strategies in collaboration with Denso's overseas sites as the companies' scale and business expansion undergo major changes. Currently, we are assigning technicians to technical centers at regional group companies in North America and China, implementing dynamic sales promotion programs and promoting and expanding production of relay products at Denso's DMTN (Tennessee), DNMX (Monterey), and TDE (Tianjin) locations. Additionally, in the Asia region, we have established DELT (near Bangkok), Denso Electronics's overseas subsidiary in Thailand, where we are manufacturing and supplying products for the ASEAN and Indian markets.
With a Leading Market Share, Focused on Being a Truly Global Manufacturer
The relays and buzzers manufactured by Denso Electronics command top share in the automobile industry. In particular, our automotive power relays have become and remain the world's No. 1 seller globally. Denso Electronics now supplies product not only to auto manufacturers in Japan, but also to GM, Ford, and FCA, Detroit's "Big 3" automakers. Furthermore, we have put in place a global supplementary supply system, with the Main Office/Factory as the "mother factory" mutually linked with four production bases overseas, establishing a production and supply system that enables us to meet demand from all over the world as a truly global manufacturer.
Rapid Growth Observed in China, India, and Other Emerging Markets
The global automobile market is currently undergoing expansion, driven by the rapid growth of emerging countries such as China and India. In China, joint ventures with European and American as well as Japanese and Korean manufacturers are now being joined in fierce competition by local Chinese manufacturers that have increased their presence. Meanwhile, Japanese manufacturers are also working to expand production in India and the ASEAN region. In particular, we are setting up an optimal production system for the Asian region, centered on TDE in China and DELT in Thailand, in order to meet demand to China, which has become the world's largest market, and a rapidly progressing India.
