With the basic philosophy "to treasure natural resources and live in a symbiotic relationship with the community", Denso Electronics participates in various activities to make continuous contributions to the community.
Initiatives
Clean-up Projects
Both Anjo and Okazaki promote city-wide cleaning projects. As a member of these local communities, Denso Electronics management members volunteer to clean the streets and gutters near Denso Electronics offices. We contribute to the city's beautification projects by cleaning the streets where the employees commute as well as the gutters around the company premises.
Communication with Local Community
We have long incorporated social contribution programs and environmental efforts in our business activities, such as holding meetings for exchanges of opinions and providing factory tours to local elementary and junior high school students.
"Ao-Pato" Neighborhood Patrol
Denso Electronics members patrol the neighborhood in company cars as a part of the neighborhood watch program. A blue light is attached to the roof of the car during patrols, so the activity is called "Ao-Pato", meaning blue patrol cars. Our goal is to protect the safety of residents – especially children – in the community.
Main patrol routes are employee parking lots, schools, parks, and residential areas near Denso Electronics sites.
Denso Electronics also periodically joins the police force, local resident groups, and the factory crime prevention association in large-scale community patrols.
Children's Cycling Class
The city of Anjo and Denso Electronics's Cycling Club collaborate each year in holding an annual children's cycling class on the company's premises. In every class held, there are many local children participating. Denso Electronics Cycling Club members become instructors, assisting children who ride bikes with training wheels until the children are able to ride without training wheels. Denso Electronics contributes to the community through this event, full of passion and smiles inspired by sight of the participating children doing their best and growing from the experience.
