Over the years, we have grown through the development and manufacture of such as automotive relays, ECU products, and a wide variety of other automotive electronics. In 2020, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of our founding, we changed our corporate name to "Denso Electronics," clarifying the role of the DENSO Group in the midst of a period of radical change said to occur only once a century.
In the future, we can expect that connectivity with a variety of devices, the advance of automation, electric vehicles, car sharing, and other automotive trends will continue to accelerate. And the key factor in all of this evolution is automotive electronics. We will continue to contribute to a safer and more secure driving culture, spurring the evolution of automotive electronics through development and production of power-saving, durable high-voltage relays, compact and lightweight acoustic vehicle alerting systems, and other products.
We are also working to realize the DENSO Group's goal of carbon neutrality thorough energy-saving programs and initiatives to incorporate IoT in our factories. Our mission is to minimize environmental impacts in our manufacturing and develop automotive electronics that are more helpful to humans and environmentally friendly.
With production of relays—currently our main product—exceeding 400 million units annually, we now claim the leading global market share for that product. We are also globalizing further by strengthening our production systems in China, Thailand, and other Asian markets. Carrying in our DNA a legacy spanning more than 70 years, Denso Electronics will continue to take on the challenge of making even greater advances.
